L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Aqua Lip Lacquer Review

These new L'oreal lipstains are supposed to be a dupe for the YSL glossy stains that everyone's been raving about. These retail for around 7.99-12.00 depending on where you buy them from. Now I have yet to try the YSL glossy stains. I will however have a post comparing the two very soon. Lets get onto the review...:)

The two colors I have are Pink Resistance and Infinite Fuchsia. These are swatches applied with two coats of the stains. As you can see these are super glossy.

Now here's where the stain part of the lip colors happens. As you can see the lighter color doesn't really leave too much of a stain.

Application: The applicator is actually quite similar to the YSL glossy stains. I had no problem when applying either of the l'oreal stains. The only complain I do have with these is that they feel very drying and uncomfortable the first five minutes you apply them. The first time applied these I almost instantly wrote them off due to the initial uncomfortable feeling
*application tip*
Apply you're first layer of the stain then wait 30 seconds to apply second layer. This helps increase the wear time of your lip color.
Wear: This has great wear time! It stays glossy for around 5 hours or more. After that time it does leave a nice stain to the lips.
Overall impressions: These do give YSL a run for it's money. It would make sense considering L'oreal owns YSL that they would come out with a similar product. I love all the colors in the range and would love to try more.

Last thoughts: It would be important to note that the brighter colors are going to show up better and last longer on your lips. The lighter colors wont really show up so much on us girls with pigmented lips. I would suggest trying out a rich bright color before going onto the nudes. I would however love to know if any of you try out the lighter colors and if they worked for you.

Till next time <3
